FWIW, another good AT tire is the Firstone Destination. Have these on my Chebby. 10K miles, 80% gravel roads, no chunking. Pretty tough SOB's. Just don't try any mud.

Have these on my truck. Over 25k miles on them and more than 50% tread left. I think they do fairly well in mud though for what they are. Don't know if they're Raptor worthy though.

Yeah they're more of an all around truck tire. Raptors need something special!

cant wait to see the new tires coming out in the next little bit.

I'd say more, but then I'd have to kill you all.

Ironically Boss, the Wrangler MT-R's are the only ones that I've blown out sidewalls on. I was really disappointed in the set I had. Loud on the pavement, lugs would clean OK in the thick stuff but they didn't seem to dig very well, and they wear fast.

But they do look good...

I have had 2 sets of the MTR's and they wore like iron--got 20k on the last set but took them off for 37's. Others have commented on the Faulkens and I too have read NOTHING BUT GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM. Might just give them a try and if they suck will just take them off because they are not 350per like the GY's.. What I want is a 35x12.50/17 Geolander (run 37's on the Raptor) but they do not make that size!

Boss Hoss - Do you have any pics of your Raptor on the Geolander's? I ran them on my lift Cummins and loved those tires. They are quiet and wear great. Would like to see how they look on the Raptor.

After looking into this a lot today, (I don't mean to rekindle an old debate) but the S and R in the model numbers refer to the speed rating; R = 106mph and S = 112mph.

If the Raptor comes with the R's, I think its a coincidence that R speed rating and R for "Raptor" would seem to line up. I don't think R means Raptor.

JMHO.

I don't think the R stands for Raptor either. Definitely speed ratings. factory Raptor tires are model # 121/118S

Hey would you use 37" grabbers non DOT tires?
How bad could it be?
How often do you need to replace them?
How easy is to get a blown tire on a 37" non dot tire?

I will use my truck for work. It takes no more than 10 min driving @ 50mph
Whenever i go to panama city from where i live is 180milles travel distances @ 60 to 70mph
