How are they noise wise compare to the original set?
They are quieter than the BFG's, but thought the BFG's were pretty quiet.

What did you do with your Duratracs?

I sold them on Craigslist in less than a day. Luckily all the tires I tried this year sold relatively quick. Otherwise my wife might not be talking to me anymore.

Weak sidewalls other than that great street tire.
I heard the same thing about the Duratracs. As nice as these Bridgestones are for everyday use, I'm not going to worry about it. Besides are people really having that many sidewall issues?

Thought I'd give an update on how these Bridgestones are working out. On the road they are great. Smooth, quiet, and my fuel mileage has increased slightly. Last night it was time to try them in the dirt. I went out to Plaster City and followed the train tracks from the gypsum plant out to the train bridge. Round trip it's about 30 miles and is a fast, fun road. It has some fast whoop sections, sand, silt, and hard pack with lots of small rocks. At times I reach speeds of 60 mph (could go faster but that's as fast as I feel comfortable doing). The tires handled everything perfect. I do this run all the time and have done it with all the other tires I've had on the truck. Honestly I felt just as secure and in control as I did with the more extreme off road tires. Even the not so aggressive look has grown on me.
