MB - here's to some happy trails. Like you said 800 mile road test. If the check engine light for the cats is your only problem you should be good to go.

How'd your move go?

Funny part is he said they told him the engine light might come on because of the cats but he said it never came on.

Move went well. Just need to get our place finished.

Gotta get mine started first! What did you use?

They must have threw some e-30 for the drive mine never came on either after headers and CAI where installed. Drove like that for a month with no tune. Shut it off now because I removed the cats.

I feel your pain.

Google my username and read all about an ecoboost that popped the motor 3 times within 20k miles and the fight I had with ford over getting it repaired. When it finally got repaired I had similar results in that the dealers had damaged it.

Hope all is better or going well.

I did notice that the driver's side license plate bulb blinks every five seconds. I can't find anything on this but due to the consistency of the blink I can't imagine it being a short or loose wire.

I've noticed that there are still a lot of workmanship issues, particularly in the engine bay. Nothing that is causing issues with the truck but looks like an amateur installed the engine (i.e. the positive battery cables wrapped around the radiator hose like they installed the hose and realized the cable should have been connected first, multiple harnesses not connected in their factory locations, and a main harness that looks like it has been modified). Now that I am home I have my dad who has worked on vehicles all his life and my grandfather who is an ASE certified mechanic, both of which have been avid Ford owners, they are able to see things that I may not see. I will be posting pictures so I can relay what I am talking about but some of the people at the NC meet saw it first hand. The more my dad looked it over the more pissed he became, to the point that the next day he apologized in case I thought he was mad at me. He said it upsets him that a Ford dealer would perform this kind of work, it is an embarrassment to Ford, to that dealership, and to other dealerships that will end up making it right.

I'm going to send the current list to the service manager at the original dealer and give him an opportunity to respond. They still owe me some more money for the bumper and they have two-two party checks that don't have my signature on them from the last set of repairs.

Still no response from the service manager. Email was sent Wednesday 09JUL. I'm going to call tomorrow but I don't believe he works weekends. If that's the case then I will wait until COB Monday before proceeding with an alternate route.

I will probably take it to a local dealer near me now and have them inspect my concerns to see if they agree that things were not done properly. If so, then the question will be how to proceed with making it right if the original dealer will not cooperate.
@FordService can you clarify how this process might work? I know the repairs are warrantied 12 months/12k miles but is that just at the dealership who conducted the repairs? If my local dealer now agrees that things were not installed/reinstalled properly would Ford step in and make the original dealer fix it?
