I don't understand all the positive reviews, when I was up in the snow a couple weekends back it did not perform well at all? I had to get in 4wd and even engage the E-locker while the Superduty with me was still in 2wd to go where we were going??? I'm not just "bashing" for no reason because I love this truck and majority of it I blame on the POS BFG's and the POS Auto 6pd. I can't wait to upgrade tires at least.
I definitely blame the tires as part of the culprit because as I was tracking through lightly snowed roads, (wet melting snow), my BFG's were not cleaning themselves out and it was evident by my ~10" wide solid flat tracks. While the Superduty behind me had the new Big O Mud Terrains and he had some great looking lug imprints in his tracks. So I know that is part of the issue. But even in 4wd with the E-locker on I was slipping and sliding all over the place from the left to the right sides of the road while he was right behind me in 2wd grippin and rippin with out sliding around hardly at all.
Than after that, the next day I was in a small 25' or so mud pit and got stuck when even the Toyo on 33's (pretty much all stock except lift and worn tires) plowed right through without any issues (multiple times). I was very upset and dissapointed to say the least. Again I realize the tires are part of the problem, but I've owned 4wds that were bad enough to get me anywhere I wanted to go on damn near bald tires before (without any raves or specialty engineering), so what gives?
Any explanations from the people that drive their Raptor off-road more often than I ??? FFS
