Wife wants a little more bass in her truck. She currently has 2 behind the seat 10”JL TW3 d8 subs. I have a stealth box with JL 13TW5v2-2 that I may add. The 2 10’s wired in parallel drop down to 2ohm if I added the 2ohm TW5 also in parallel would that bring me down to 1ohm? I have a spare JL RD1500 amp that will do 1ohm.

2- 8 ohm and 1-2 ohm will get u 1.3 ohm wired in parallel

dont use one amp for all 3 subwoofers. you will need a seperate amp for the 13inch. 500 watts will support the 10inch subwoofers, but not all 3. also there are different power handling and frequency responses between the different subwoofers. use a seperate amp

I believe the 10’s are dual voice coil so I’m thinking wire the coils in parallel so would drop to 4ohm and run her currently installed JL1000 watt for the 10’s and install my extra RD1500 for the 13. Was trying to avoid using 2 amps for the subs because may have to do alternator upgrade. Would have JL RD400 JL RD1500 and JL JD1000. Thanks so much for the advice though might have to bite the bullet. Sounds like no matter what she is gonna get a major upgrade I should never have let her hear my truck with 2 13’s at least I have all the stuff so not gonna cost anything except Alternator upgrade maybe.

You wouldn't REALLY need to upgrade but you would need to add battery's. I run a SALT-4 and have a Mechman370 ALT but when I sent the ALT in for work I stayed just fine voltage wise. I have a rather large Lithium bank however. I wanna say 2800 is around the max stock electrical can support in our trucks. I don't know HOW much more you're looking to get but those two 10's in a good underseat enclosure that is ported on that JL1000 would better. For a budget enclosure I ran the Fox Acoustic enclosure with two 10's for years and years and years. Bang for the buck that is the way to go. Doesn't require a seat lift either.
