Because I've never used an event like this in that way. In fairness to everyone involved and those watching, I need to stay hands off when it comes to promising anyone anything who stands to gain from this financially. :emotions133:

But hey, if a certain forum owner and/or admin wanted to throw a little weight around, that's their business. :winner_first_h4h:

I see what you did there. And I like it.

Gotcha. I do not think reinstalling the OEM stop is a realistic option in this scenario.

Just to be 110% clear: Setting aside frame concerns, are you saying that in your opinion the only way to derive a fair comparison between shocks, and shocks alone, is to test on a bone stock truck?

Bone stock could be done J..As long as the drivers follow the guidelines get real familiar with the course stay at the sped limit and don't get stupid I honestly think we could get away with using a stock truck! But one point to bring up and I know it's been said before is what about us that are running bump kits? Would I have to think about takin my bump stop out if I go with new shocks? I know that those with icons like Greg that have bumps kits had to adjust the psi in them to get the full function out of their shocks. I'm just kinda curious is all that's why I ask? Maybe if we are super lucky enough to get both stock and one with a bump stop kit we could test both and open up a whole new demographic for these shocks. Idk a lot about any of this and just following this thread alone I've learned a tremendous amount and it's a good thing!

Not a shootout. But, I will have my truck in Pismo for the February get together and will take anybody who wants to for a ride down the sand highway. We can also run a stock truck next to my Icon equipped truck and video tape it for you all to see. Simple quick seat of the pants test for anybody who wants it.

Wilson while I agree life would be much easier on us in theory, in practice I am against the idea of using just any F150. I do not believe the results would fairly represent what any customer might expect to enjoy when installing BrandX on their Raptor. The F150 is just too different an animal.

I agree a stock raptor is the best option

Agreed! Find a stock truck. We know there's a ton out there, more than modified ones!

He has a custom-built weld-on King 2.5" bump setup! It's slick.

Ultimately this should be about what you the FRF and Raptor owner what to see or learn from this.....again I am 99% sure for FOX or King and 100% sure for ICON that we built the shocks for installation in the stock mounts to enhance the over all performance of the Raptor.

You guys run with it and do your best to figure out what is desired and most of all please make this a fun experience for you all.
