Were you hitting 126mph on the trails with your titan?

I'm a v8 faithful but they really worked on the sound of that thing.

LOL definitely not. That being said if I was in Baja or something on a wide open stretch it might be feasible. Thats not really the point, over 100 off road is extremely unlikely, but highway is another story. I will say the Titan does quite well off road at high speed. No Raptor obviously, but not bad.

I have a 2010 Nissan Titan Pro4x, and the first thing I did was change the Rancho jokes out for Billsteins to make it 1/2 as able as my 14 Raptor on the same dirt road with pot holes and undulations...

My 14 definitely went over 100...and I think, as reported on this thread, due to Speed Rating of BFG KOs it's more like 110 or 112...all GMs cut out at 99...maybe the guy was confused...

Don't like the switches up top...as I Rigid lights on all 4, and have to turn them off plenty when on coming traffic approaches heading north at night...much easier to keep my hand resting so I can flip off the switches down low...but not a biggie.

Wonder if a 20" double Rigid will inhibit intercooler too much for that bottom light....b/c that's easily the most effective of the 4 Lights I have mounted...also don't like that if you wanted a winch it won't fit like on the Gen 1s...and yeah, I was unimpressed w/the characteristics of that particular Raptor going over all those bumps...but it's not a deal breaker...much like the exhaust sound.

Sounds pretty good, much more rumbly than I expected! Interior looks pretty boring but that's to be expected...ford has always had one of the ugliest steering wheels. What I'm most anxious to see is how this truck does towing a 7000lb trailer. I won't be towing more than once/month or so, and on flat ground, but hoping the truck holds up. You guys talking about going 100+ in these things need to read up on tire speed ratings, and more so- buy a sports car. Sure you can go 100+ in a straight line in a truck but you're not going to make any quick evasive maneuvers or brake quickly if something happens...be safe :)

(i posted in another thread). i hate the sound. played the clip for the wife as a neutral bystander. she hates the sound.

we just had to renew one of our trucks (the f150) due to warranty running out (i live in a harsh climate and warranty is everything) and just couldn't pull the trigger on a new F150 ECO (the only model being imported).

the showroom experience centered around the numbers and "it's faster and better" but the experience of it wasn't better. The wife was "yeah it's ok....but...maybe we should just keep what we have...." (which we can't). We walk into the RAM dealership and the after the usual tyre kicking the wife asks the guy "is this a v8 or a v6?" he replies "It's a HEMI V8, listen to this!" and starts it. The windows of the dealership shake and the floor rumbles. My wife asks "Do you have it in silver?" Done.

(at first i was ashamed) I have grown to love the RAM Lariat mostly due to the interior finishes and the exhaust sound. The Raptor is up for renewal soon and we were holding out for the 2017 model....but i don't think i can do it.....

Saying you love the Ram for its interior finish is like saying you love cough medicine for its taste.

Dodge has some of the worst fit and finish in the industry. I truly believe their motto is "It fits. We're finished." Remember these are the same folks that pioneered injection molded door panels in the 70's. They are about building at the lowest possible cost not at the highest quality. Not that any manufacturer that mass produces is not concerned about cost, but there is a level of quality that is expected, and I've never seen a Dodge meet it.

Hold out for that Ram Rebel TRX...they might just make you a happy camper.

If you base your truck buying decisions on exhaust note, I don't think anyone can help you.

I love all the people saying that buying a truck for the exhaust note is stupid. That's an over-generalization. The exhaust note is part of the complete package. Especially the difference between a V6 and a V8. You're not fixing that with an exhaust mod. If you're going to drop 60-70k on a truck why would you accept any aspect you're not fond of? That doesn't make sense.

Yet you're willing to recommend a truck that isn't a product and you've never heard.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Youtube sound clips just like Jennifer has had shown. Also, the word might is sort of fundamental in that sentence.
