Can't you remove the whole front drive system for the run? Lighter truck, and no front issues.

Right after TRR I will be going through the Raptor thoroughly and will be in contact with you about getting the Raptor in tip top shape.. Since I will be driving to and from the event.(instead of being trailered, and flying in) I am looking at putting close to 5000 miles in 9 days (or 600 miles a day)..

that should clear up my prier statement lol we all mod it's a modding community. nothing wrong with the truck the way it is, but it's fun as hell to mod the **** out of it. I'll be cheering you on no matter what.

yeah greg, wtf?? take out the front drive shaft and cv's and haul ass!! if you keep your speed up should you venture off road (I doubt it) you wont even need it! solves your issues with eating up the front end

This might not be the greatest or safest idea but thought I'd throw it out anyway.

What about using some of the railway lines out east? Most have a pretty good shoulder to run down and they tend to take a fairly direct path between cities.
