This might not be the greatest or safest idea but thought I'd throw it out anyway.

What about using some of the railway lines out east? Most have a pretty good shoulder to run down and they tend to take a fairly direct path between cities.

Working for Ford/Norfolk Southern in the past.. i know what you are talking about.. The main issue is railroad police and trainmasters frown on you using their access roads. And the train conductors/engineers are quick to call the police when they see a yahoo driving down them.. I know from personal experience..

I like 150. This will remind the competition in 6 figure cars they just got beat by a f150 truck
