Wasn't able to work it out to have Livernois do it while I was in Detroit so I'm pursuing other options now... Toured the ford factory and they had a raptor chassis sans cab and box, so I took some really up close pictures. When people say it's tight, boy they ain't kidding! I'll post them when I get home, but as of now I think I'm going to have somebody professional put them in.

I know we're still waiting on Volant to "manufacture" his intake. Their newest "ETSD" is this Wed. But I am getting a little more than aggravated with Volant. I have NEVER waited so long for an intake to ship. If he didn't NEED a fully sealed intake like he does I would have gone another route LONG ago.

So, I think I finally found a place to install the headers and they quoted me $1360. Is that in the ball park? Or are they a little high? They also quoted me 16 hours which is about 6 hours more than the average I've been seeing.

My Raptor has been sitting in the shop since Tuesday getting SW headers and exhaust installed. That's three full days and seems excessive to me. I'm told it will be ready in the morning. I'm scared of the bill I will get. It better be perfect. Guy says he "does work like you see on TV" and he comes highly recommended. He better the damn Michaelangelo of mufflers at this rate.

3 days wtf!! no way should it take that long. it indeed looks like a PITA but i highly doubt such a professional should take that long. cant wait to see how long me and my buddy take. neither one of us is a "mechanic" but we know how to spin some wrenches and, bottle tops...

That's what I think. It is a muffler shop and he is known for doing high end sports and performance work. I suspect he has been working other jobs in and around mine. But I'm officially irritated. And I'm pretty damn sure this install will be around $1,500. Ugh.
