I have been hearing this for a while now, and to be honest, I have been using a 4" long bump for towing in my F-150 for years now with zero issues. To give you an idea, a typical 2.5" diameter bump can handle up to 400psi or so. The most I have ever needed to pump up my old bumps was 250psi, and that was towing a raptor from Texas to California and Back...

Hope this helps

Jarrett

Perhaps it's a heat issue from constant use?
BTW - I like that you guys design it such that the bolts are in double shear. Strong design principals!

No need to 'Rip Off' the RPG system.
RPG offers a towing bump stop for there system; and it works outstandingly well!
Yes they do. Farfromstock uses it to tow his camper to runs. Then swaps them out at camp before hitting the trail.

Yeah I know they do, this is a cooler system and no need for an extra set of bumps.

Strongly leaning toward this kit, was looking at rpg's because of the 4" bump capability, but this kit seems like less hassle for those days when I'm hauling/towing. Which is pretty random, and would get old fast swapping out bumps all the time to work/play. This set up looks like it would take less than 5 min for both sides (maybe).

What is the actual height differences in the 3 different settings as far as where the bump sits? More so, in tow/haul mode how far would the truck have to sag/squat before the bumps engage?

When I designed this kit the first thing that was a MAJOR yes was having 1 bumpstop for the towing and 1 bumpstop for daily driving. We physically looked at every bump kit on the market and tried to see what was missing..We also used our own "air bag" trucks and tried to see what worked there.. Combined we came up with the "ABS" kit.

I know most Raptors are not used for towing but its nice to know that with a couple of turns on a wrench and lowering the bolts you can tow with confidence just by dropping the bump can 2-3 inches.

The sag/squat depends on the weight of your load or trailer. each application would be different..

We had Ken Blocks "raptorTraxs" on a trailer towing with a bump kit and it had zero sag with the bumps all the way down.

Hope this helps.....if you want some specific pictures we can set up a "towing" scenario on what you would have and send you some detailed numbers.

Happy Saturday,
Marc
