For the win.

Yes, aftermarket u-joints come with zerks. I have Car Quest whatever manufacturer "premium" in mine.

When I did mine, both just about fell out. Yes, I put it off too long. That is about what it sounded like when backing up. Different length shafts will sound different.
Goes to the dealer tomorrow for new ones. It's still under warranty.

This blows, I usually have the same problems as YJ, shortly after he does. Guess I need to keep my ears open for squeaks now.

Interesting.
I didn't realize the 2011 had a recall on the drive shaft.

This was in early 2011, I picked up mine in early April (not sure about the build date) and it had the new drive shaft. Remember the clunk issues?

After watching the video, I have the bump/lurk problem described. I guess I need to drop the driveshaft and grease the slip yoke. I might as well replace the U joints while I'm at it.

I was going to do the same, but it was covered under the warranty.

If you replace yours, get u-joints with grease zerks.

Since mine is still in the shop , I called them and asked that they grease the yoke. Hopefully they will look at the u joints while they have it off. But ya, Moog ftw.
