To rule out the brakes, go to the parts store and buy a can of "de-squeak" to spray on a small spot on the rotors. You shouldn't have to spray the entire rotor, but if there is a squeak from the brakes, even if just when cold, that will not only stop it for a time, it will also let you know that if it is indeed the brakes.

Probably not your issue, however i had a distinctive rear squeak in my 2012. It ended up being my tail gate, where it swivels up and down needed lubed!

^^^ My tailgate has done this since my truck was about a year old. It can get LOUD. I hear this on a lot of trucks. Lube up the latches inside the gate while pulling the handle to move it around and get the swiveling joints at the bottom of the gate. Real grease is best but I use WD40 White Lithium Grease spray because it's easier. The spray just has to be done more often (every 4-6 months).

Mine was squeaking randomly ended up being an exhaust hanger rubbing might be something to check out

the squeak goes away when i use the brakes so it must be brake related. plus i have SW lightning style exhaust

So I isolated the squealing/squeaking noise to when I drive away after disengaging the parking brake. I took it to the dealer today and they discovered that the truck had been driven with the parking brake applied which heated the rear rotors and glazed the parking brake pads. My suspicion was that it was the car wash I frequent because I caught them doing it once. However, they deglazed the parking brake pads and replaced the rotors.....all under warranty! I was prepared for them to tell me something about the rotors (my initial suspicion as I mentioned earlier in the thread) and I was going to buy them and replace them myself. He said this time he replaced them under warranty but the next time it would be on me. I couldn't thank them enough because he could have been a **** and said it was on me because the truck was driven with the parking brake applied. Overall, the only thing I lost was 2 1/2 hours of my Saturday morning and that horrible squealing noise. I'm very satisfied. Hopefully you figure out your noise as well. Try the parking brake thing to see if you can isolate it to that.

So I wonder if my rear pads are glazed from power braking.....?

Do you consistently use your e-brake? Try not using it for a day and see if the noise is less or it disappears. At least that's how I was able to narrow mine down.

sort of the same issue here. but the squeaky sounds come from the tail gate/Bed of the truck. at first it was every time i went over a bump. then it escalated to just squeaks while the truck is in motion. i lube the crap out of the tailgate hinges and any other moving part. i pulled the step assist and did the same but no luck. i loved having my windows down when i drive and the simple fact that everytime i lower my rear windows and that squeaky sound is there ruin my whole "joy ride" experience. i took it to the dealership and they said "oh thats normal" i swear thats the most annoying/lame answer they can give to a customer.. how can a 50+k truck with less than 24k miles on it make that kind of sounds. i dont even tow or carry any heavy load on my truck!..

hope you get your problem solved man!
