I'm with Joe, 2nd Raptor carries Fuel for you and extra for them so that you can recharge on the Tesla's schedule and can avoid gas stations, traffic, red lights, ect. You can re-charge the Tesla at rest areas or on the side of the road even. During the charge time, the second Raptor goes ahead to re-fuel and meets you on the highway further up

Okay, I will admit after several weeks on tesla forums... I love FRF!

What a bunch of negative nancys, they all drink the Tesla cool aid.. Heaven forbid an outsider has an idea that can radically change the way they do things. It is blasphemy talking about mobile quick chargers and having an ICE carrying it..

So, what is the projected timeline for doing this record breaking event? And why not pursue a college/techincal school with building an EV to break the record? Other words, if Tesla is not willing assist, why not pursue other avenues?

I would think a spare tank in the back of the Raptor for fuel, trailer with a generator and the Factory tesla quick charger, the tesla then plugs right in and the fuel source is far enough away in the truck to avoid a catastrophe... Your A/C source is the generator, fuel source for the truck and generator is the in the truck. an extra 30 gallon can makes for a lot of extra distance before the truck needs to stop to fuel...

Tesla has done a great job designing a 300 mile range all electric car, and they have great potential to DC charge full capacity in 30 minutes.. Without their exclusive superchargers, yet they don't want other kids in their sand box...

That is why we are using my Raptor because it was/is set up for long distance rallies. It is already proven, why and another layer of complexity on unproven and tested vehicles..

Since my pockets have run dry for playing and repairing the Raptor during my offroad stunts.. I have been lucky to take these fairytale road trips with most if not all expenses paid for.. So even though it goes against Raptor code playing on the pavement, as of right now I am still playing and have a Raptor..
