Pirate Air, you think that the donkey kick and such might be driver error/induced maybe?

All equipment has limitations.

No. I know exactly what he's talking about. This setup kicked ass when new. Springs are shot which puts you into the bumpstops way too soon.

Rich, when I installed my new SD nations I recorded the ground to fender hight as
DS = 42 5/8"
PS =42 3/8"

With the sacked nationals (gen 1) I had 40 1/4" & 40 3/8" respectively.

The springs did really well vs the factory pack when I first got them. They were faster and had better control, less wheel hop, etc. They did sit lower than stock springs right off the bat but the negative impact that the reduced up travel had wasn't really noticed when compared to the factory springs. Over time they've sagged some and I did add a few hundred pounds to the bed (which falls under the max amount I was told I could run with these springs when I bought them several years ago). The springs sit pretty much flat now and I have maybe four inches of up travel. The front soaks up the hits but the back blows thru the 4 inches of travel and flings the back of the truck up. As a driver there's really nothing i can do but to go slower. I honestly think a 100% stock rear suspension raptor would out perform my rear suspension in the rough stuff. It's gotten that bad.

Miss read the post.

I just drove from Indy back to Chicago and I think I felt every nook and cranny in the road. My hd's are flat. No movement whatsoever if I jump on it. Same issues I had with sd's hence why I upgraded to hd's. Only have -8k miles on them. One off road trip

That's from center of hub. Tire size doesn't play a factor

So with well-worn 35's I'm at 41 1/4" so not as sacked out as yours, Joe.

Hey Guys,
Let me chime in here as a Multiple Truck Owner who has had Nationals and Deavers on Raptors, Superduties and Duramaxs.

National was the "standard" 20+ years ago on race trucks in the desert..They went through some changes and now have a somewhat of new owner. I don't know more then that but i can tell you that Deaver springs has been making a quality and tested part for over 100 years.....

Safe to say that 95% of Leaf Sprung Race trucks run deavers.
Safe to say that 95% of leaf spring "Work" trucks that get springs replaced run deavers.

I know That EVERY Raptor, Super Duty, or DuraMax that we have ever worked on only get Deavers Installed or serviced.

Deaver Customer Service 100% the best in the business....They will ALWAYS be available to help and ALWAYS be available to lend advice or service when needed...

I Can personally tell you that if you buy Deavers Springs from SVC we will never leave you without a solution or try and fix any unforeseen problems.

I know i can't speak for other shops on here but I'm pretty sure and hope its safe to say that all Shops that sell Deavers Springs "only" sell them for a reason.

BUT,
