brappp sounds like you just need the SD +2's and you'll be happy with them i promise. and like i said before you'll get that nose high stance with them and being on top perch. when you upgrade the leaf springs you're removing that 2" block and once the springs settle its actually about half an inch to an inch lower in the rear once the springs settle.

Sounds good. Can you comment at all on some owners springs "sacking out" is that a risk one takes with the +1 or +2 with light bed and rare light towing

That's no longer an issue. We have worked with national to arch the springs a little more and made the 2nd leaf in the stack a tiny bit thicker to keep them from sacking out. Also one thing to remember is the SD spring can only handle so much weight so if you add weight to the bed and it's more than 350 pounds total then it's adding more stress and weight on the springs causing them to sack out.

My SSD's have gone to shit after 1 year. I was hoping that mine would be different than all the other early adopters since RPG told me they had been reworked.

I never carry any weight in the bed either!

Can some of you guys measure center of hub to bottom of flare on the rears? I'm at 25 1/2" with 3/4 tank of gas. Springs have no arch.

These Nationals suck. What are the opinions on Deavers? Or maybe I should give Jimmy a call...

OK, here's the information I got.

The rear leafs will not be warrantied by National.

Re-arching the springs is considered "normal maintenance", even though I've only had them on my truck for 1 year, less than 15K miles, and mine have gone flat. I missed that part when I bought them, I guess.:snoopfacepalm:

I've ordered some Deavers.

Hmmmm.... that's not good.

You can get them rearched at a local spring shop for about $80 a spring.... But yeah, after a year with no weight on the bed seems a bit quick.

What setup with the Deavers did you end up buying?

+2's.

Yeah, I love the ride of the Nationals but flattening that quick is unacceptable.

And your truck is a SCAB as well. At least mine and Greg's were SCREWs.

Something doesn't add up.... are you sure you're not hauling any heffers around?

I know right?

What ****** me off is that I was lead to believe (like Pat said above) that the springs had been reworked since you early guys had sagging problems.

Warning to all: These springs will sag pretty quickly.
