4A for any snow covered roads.....if you are in complete deep snow on road, 4H is fine. But as soon as they start to clear snow get back to 4A.

No real reason to use the locker unless it is just real deep and you want to make sure your locker works.

"snow mode" will just take all the fun out of driving by nuking your pedal feel. Good for the wife, but not for you.

They were great until you lost it, and then it was all over. I think because of that experience, I just can't bring myself to push this trucks limits on snow with other cars around.

That is what sets the raptor apart from everything else....it is so balanced and it communicates so well to the driver. you know way ahead of time when you are reaching the limits and when you are there it is still controllable. Not a death flick swap front to rear.

Note 1applies to Mud/Sand or whatever it's called depending on year.

Baja doesn’t have any Auto engagement or disengagement.

Note 1 applies to 4L also, as well as, having a maximum engagement and disengagement speed should you decide to manually override the automatic engagement when mode is selected and by disengaging the rear differential.

Hope I stated everything correctly and hope it clears it up a little.

It does, thanks, owned it for 2 years, first time I had it in 4wd was the day I spoke of.

What year truck do you have? If I'm in "Deep Snow" mode I didn't find that it desensitized the throttle at all. It's the same as in "Normal" mode on my '20. I tried "Slippery" for the first time in the snow today, that changed the throttle drastically, it was like you cut power by 50%. Really a shocking change in power and throttle feel.

I tried 2H Normal, pressed and held T/C today on the snow. It was still remarkably composed. What a great truck.

18...our modes are slightly different....snow / wet in an 18 = slippery in 19+ and that is where it gets neitered.

OK, that makes sense. I tried slippery mode today while going up a hill, it was like I stalled the engine, it cut so much power. I would never use that unless I got caught out on black ice.
