Well I just got off the phone with the michigan dnr trails specialist. Our group is in the clear, no permitting required because there is no fee. Groups of 20 or less and can have multiple groups.

Along with all the permits and such, another thing I would HIGHLY encourage would be an amber dust light facing to the rear of the truck. There was a significant amount of dust last year (my interior is still filthy) and the trucks that didn't have one were getting a little hard to see.
It dosn't have to be anything fancy. I have a pair of KC cyclones which aren't super expensive. Just something that cuts through the dust better than red brake lights.
@HAYNES OFFROADcan hook you up

@Kmandoske has a portable soulution as well

The permits are not an issue for us. I spoke to the michigan dnr trails specialist; he said as long as the event is free no permits are required. Also he said that as long as a business makes and sells the place cards, they just can not be sold on state land. He requested that we run in groups of 20 or less (no limit on how many groups). So we are A-OK In that department. I agree people should run some sort of rear facing lighting. I will put that out on the Facebook page.
