Well sounds like we either need to start planning to work and get permits, or hold a lottery for 15 trucks to do trails.

Or start a list for who will just do dunes, and who wants to do trails or both.

I am talking to a buddy of mine who is a lt. With the michigan dnr. Sales of items will not be advertised by me nor am I selling any item. Josh may or may not sell something at his discretion through his business not the get together. More details to follow.

And even if the cap is 15. I will make the event sand dunes get together specific. I have no control in who goes on the trails at their own free will in groups of 15 or less at any given time. I am in the process of organising quad riders with coms. To run in the front for saftey purposes. I'll post more details once I talk to the baldwin dnr officials and the orv trail specialist for the dnr.

I'm not trying to cheat the system I'm talking to all of the correct people to make sure everything is legal.

You are assuming there is 54 Trucks doing the trails correct? Because that's what I gather from your post above. Now you say that you can't control how many go? As part of your event you are advertising running the bladwin trails.

Also I forgot to mention in addition to the permit you will have to put down a security deposit incase someone causes damage to the trails etc.

To me it sounds like you are 100% trying to circumvent the system.

I've done a lot of these. I would conform to the 15 trucks.

What is a quad running in front going to do?

I would recommend and highly recommend you follow the rules set forth. You don't wanna be the guy who ruins it for everyone.

How many trucks did we have last time on the trails? It couldn't have been more than 14-16? Just because 54 people said they're going doesn't always mean 54 people (and trucks) are going.

We had more than that; we came across dnr and police and they did nothing more than thumbs up.

Sounds to me like the guy or group that has done this 20 or so times doesn't know anything because the guy who did it once on a whim got a thumbs up from a random cop. Ok I'm in lets go. Hahaha. Jason one day you will wake up like I do every morning and realize that everyone else is smarter then you I thank god for my stupidity everyday.
