Geez! Are they that much? My wife got mine for my birthday. I'm like you, I wouldn't have bought it for myself. I have a flip HD which seems to work ok with a suction cup mount.

Yeah they're pricey but they do a ton of things all in 1080p so it's worth it... On the lost coast run I'm gonna just bring my dslr since ill be riding solo too much work to keep messing around with the gopro
