Expanding on what I quickly wrote previously. This is on my Facebook group as well.

I have other idea's for a decent Raptor and it starts with suspension and brakes. The Raptor isn't about straight line fast down a road imo. It is made for the dirt. Interior is an improvement though as are the gauges if they work better than the ones in the Shelby Mustangs. If I was to build another off road Raptor, it would be upgrading the suspension to some Kings Shocks or the new Icons, Outlaw Raptor Alpha 1 setup, Deavers, 4:88 gears, Outlaw Raptor Bandit Front Bumper with a Vision X LED Bar, Bed Rack with 2 spare tires, Vision X Hood mounted lights, Methods, Transmission cooler and Power steering upgrade. This would be a Stage 1 imo. Stage 2 would include power upgrades. Stage 3 would include a cage, long travel, race seats and harnesses. Stage 4...well. Yea. My PreRunner. Long Travel baby! Stage 5, Livernois built engine. Just my two cents on it. (really...3 and 4 are the same thing..just different rear halves of the truck)

Meh...

At first I was looking at doing a Roush package, but was starting to lean towards the Whipple/SW exhaust route... Within the last week I've been giving a hard look at the Livernois SC/Cams/exhaust/etc route. The installed price seemed a little steep, but after seeing this Shelby package, I think I'm going to start saving for Livernois. So much more for less than Shelby.

Call me crazy, but is this Shelby package using a whipple or does their SC just look really similar?

“Aerodynamically speaking, the Raptor was engineered for maximum performance,” said Gary Patterson, vice president of operations."

Hmmm... Even less impressed now. Only 575hp from a whipple package at twice the cost. HTF did hey manage that?

Definitely going to be talking to Livernois when I'm ready to go super-raptor! Hahaha.
