Bah...

I have other idea's for a decent Raptor and it starts with suspension and brakes. The Raptor isn't about straight line fast down a road imo. Interior is an improvement though as are the gauges if they work better than the ones in the Shelby Mustangs.

Scary... We are on the same page...

" Don't get me wrong.. It is great seeing companies like Roush and Shelby embracing the Raptor. In my opinion the Shelby kit is nothing more the 17k sticker kit and whipple supercharger.
I guess I am in the minority to think that they missed the boat. This is a Raptor not a lightning.. Instead of adding more useless hp/torque and stickers, how about upgrading suspension, braking, and things that matter OFFROAD! This is an offroad truck, meant to be driven hard offroad, improve suspension to actually use the Raptors stock horsepower. The Raptor stock engine is more than capable to overpower stock suspension. That is how you make a performance Raptor.."

As I posted on Facebook...

X2 Greg and SPRSNK.

While I have the utmost respect for Shelby, I think they dropped the ball on this one. Did they even do any market research??

The ratio of folks here that talk about the need for more HP vs. the need for improved suspension is like 1:20....Yet a new player comes to town and offers a package with a blower and exhaust!?!?! :buttkick:

Not even the least bit impressed, but I wasn't expecting much, I don't think shelby is really tapped into what this market wants.

They claim to have many options coming soon...maybe there will be some suspension upgrades...

They do have bumpers and light rack and spare tire rack as options.

Kaiser: They did the same thing with the Focus ST...

Its not like they have the pull to have Ford send them 3 trucks of every color...thats just nit pickin there.

And which they'll charge you around double what the original manufacturer of the lights or bumpers would.

autoblog shows pics of it from the NY auto show. Here's the deal, it's a 12, not a 13...

I wish they would've gone over the top on it, then it could've been really cool.

Disappointing to say the least. Splash graphic wouldn't be bad in my eye if they didn't throw that big ass Shelby lettering on the side.

I love that the big name aftermarket builders are doing their own Raptor verisions, even if they are missing the boat. Too me, it means that the Raptor should be around for a long time and the value of mine/yours shall remain high.

Who will be the next one Unique, Foose, Gas Monkeys, West Coast Customs, & Pimp my Ride. I don't give a crap who builds them as long as Ford keeps building & improving on their verision of the Raptor.
