I get that but I also believe that the days of manual transmissions are mostly behind us and for good reason. Driving at high speeds on or off road is demanding and requires the driver's full attention. Being involved in shifting the transmission is mostly, as I see it, a liability especially for non-professionals.

Manual transmissions are still fact of live here in europe
Automatic transmissions are in my oppinion for lazy people
Even if there faster. More fuel effective. And help with less things do while controling a verhicle.

Driving a manual is real driving. And i like it that SDHQ will bring this to us

You have the coolest collection of vehicles, man.

thank you.

It is a bit like having 4 hot daughters, everyone always wants to take them out, the monthly budget to keep them happy is astonishing, and you can't take them anywhere without keeping a hawkeye on them.

all told, the Raptor is still my favorite toy.

I could see all the maintenance being a big time expense; which one(s) is/are your daily drivers?

Raptor gets most of the duty from me, the E550 from my wife. I do drive the F430 in the mornings when it's not 90+ out to take the kid to school, head to the gym and fly around some back roads.

Nice. The F430 has been one of my favorite cars ever since I first saw it in that scene in Miami Vice when they were flying down the freeway at night.

Just curious but are you saying manuals are still very prominent on regular cars or race cars? The point was that even race cars now a days are a melting pot of automatic and manual and can be argued that they are not a true manual transmission as alluded to in an aformentioned reply. I am definitely not trying to pick a fight but I think your quote of "Automatic transmissions are in my oppinion for lazy people" is incredibly narrow minded taking into account where technology is taking us.

I am very interested to see how this manual transmission plays out and how it is accomplished. I just agree with the general consensus that I do not think that it is the best route for the Raptor unless the Raptor is no shit a race truck.

Almost all of my vehicles have been manual trans. This is the first automatic that I have had in ten years. this truck would even meaner with a stick shift. And yes some people are not coordinated enough to drive one, especially todays youth that have a smart phone permanently attached to their hand. It would still be a great option for us "professionals" with years of experience.

If i look at most drivers of auto shifters. They like cruising. And just have the car to go A to B ( keep in mind europe is diffrent then US ). Hence my lazy
Offcourse there might be acceptions

In racing stick is still used a lot. think nascar still uses it even
Offcourse formula one is on a semi auto. And so are loads of super cars
But its down to purpose and luxery.

Luxery = lazy

Stick shift is beeing in controle. Like driving a motorbike.

I like the manual option on the gearbox of raptor and the flappypaddle shifters SDHQ are doing. If the response time of the gearbox is anygood atleast
As in that case its just a 2 hands on the wheel manual ;)

Not attacking anyone but a my prefrence order :
Quick/fast semi auto with flappypaddle (

I'm a for a manual. A lot more control of torque ranges and gear selection. Don't have the lag waiting for the auto to down shift etc. less maintenance
