SCT X4 terrible customer service

Wow - I have tried to get a solution to my issue for two days now and have nothing. Nobody @ SCT cares to fix my issue. So, I am stuck now and will never ever buy anything from SCT ever again. Their handheld devices are garbage - waste of money.

Haha ya I know their hold music off by heart .... What's your issue with the device ?

The device isn't recognized by their program. There are missing driver files that I need from them, but they don't care to send. So now I have an x4 that's got one tune in it and I will not be able to download more tunes into it.

I tried to help you but you never confirm the drivers your running under the Device Manager, not the Devices and Printers section.

SCT is not the best help at times, but for the most part their good.

I actually did go that route. I went into device manager and the device had a yellow exclamation over it. Right click it, select update drivers, and it asks if it should automatically find on net, or I browse for the file. I select auto and it does not find anything in search. So, I am stuck without SCT. Apparently this is becoming more of a common problem as I have received feedback from others stating that they experienced same and SCT had to send new driver files to them in email. This is all I need, but SCT doesn't care.

See you did not read my instructions,
You need to uninstall those two driver files or the one if that's all there is since it installed the wrong driver in the first place..
Then unplug the scanner, then uninstall the SCT software. REBOOT
Then install the SCT software, then plug the programmer in.

"If", Windows ask again to find the best driver select Cancel. Windows will install a generic driver, you don't want that.

Correct - I did exactly that and it did not solve my problem.

No you state you selected auto!

You need to remove or uninstall!
