SCT Performance - More Power! Less Fuel!

The problem is that you plug in the scanner before downloading and/or installing the software.
This will make Windows install a generic driver.

You need to remove it!!! By leaving it plug in and going to Device Manager and uninstalling the Driver or Drivers.

The Driver is in the software! As a complete package now.

If you follow my instructions it will work.

I have an X4 and Windows 7, but this is the same for Windows 8 and will have different info there for the Livewire.
And I'm not sure if you'll have two files, if so you need to uninstall both Drivers.

You know, I'm glad I plugged mine in!!! I see there is another Firmware update, I just did one last month.
Man now I have to go out in the freezing cold and do this in a freezing truck, I wish SCT would inform us.

I actually did this the first time and didn't work. I definitely need the updated driver. The program shows an error and can't update via the net.

Yep - I downloaded the updater for the X4. Never plugged the handheld in until that downloaded and was opened. This is a bad sct problem.

might try updating the handheld again.
Maybe the update didn't completely finish.

You don't have the X4 you have Livewire, or am I mistaken?

I guess I am, well if that's the case then you did something wrong.
Why not try to disconnect from your network under the wifi settings in the scanner.

And what does your device manager say on the PC? You should have the same two tabs under Jungo as me.
Keep in mind I do not have mine WiFi connected and USB connected at the same time.

If you want me to try turning on the WiFi and connecting the USB on my PC I can try that tomorrow or late tonight.
I have to go out for a couple of hours now.

How is your PC connected to the internet Wifi or Lan?
I have my PC connected via Lan.

The problem was not having the correct driver file. The sct program can't recognize ththe handheld due to that missing file. I tried to for to the finding of that file via the net, but struck out. I need sct to send it to me. I tried everything to make it work.
