SCAB Sunroof thunk

When I open it it sounds like a brick on the roof as it drops down before it slides back. Tilting it first doesn’t help. It does it over and over too, not like it’s sticking from being closed for months or anything.

Is there anything I can do or should I just have the dealer check it out when I take it in for oil change and frozen door latch (3rd try)? I’m past the 36 months but do have ESP.

It sounds like from your original post everything is working except it's just making noise.

There's nothing wrong with mine, but its a Gen 1, was just jokin' around.

It’s a SCAB. Conventional sunroof. Not the pano.

I had that happened to mine and the cheap plastic tab that attach the sunroof to the track finally broke, then it was stuck opened. There's a thread on here for that problem. Lucky my was still under warranty. Check out the thread and lube the sunroof seal with weather seal lube before it's too late.

If it's got **** or tires, it's gonna give you trouble. Since a sunroof on a pickup is like **** on a boar ... it's double trouble. Makes perfect sense.
