Not likely as it is not a naturally occurring hole. Also, the warranty and policy manual states that under body component corrosion is not covered. Bring it to your dealer and they will tell you.

When I replaced my tape on the rockers, I just taped around whatever holes were near the step mounts . Where there hidden holes that you can't see behind the mounts themselves?I removed the crappy factory tape that was peeling off and replaced it with with gorilla tape while I have side steps removed. There are also holes behind each side step mount that didn't have factory tape. A couple of them contained dirt which I removed the best I could by hand and then taped them shut like the rest. I'm wondering if anyone else has done the same since I assume the side steps were installed when most other folks "fixed" this issue.
