DGrav , It usually takes an hour, maybe 2 to get a response back from prior approval. Maybe 3 hours if they are really swamped. If the paint is bubbling without a crack in the paint surface, this is an indication that it is rusting from the inside out and would likely be covered per the paint job aid.
The rule for the corrosion warranty (5 yr/Unlimited miles) is that it has to be a naturally occurring hole.
Most older F150's with rotted cab corners are just that. They start as a bubble in the paint (indicating the rust came from the inside) and then keep progressing like cancer. In most trucks with the cab corner rust, the drains (rears especially) are plugged with sand/mud and other road debris.
