After getting Joe's e-mail, I'm starting to get pumped! Let's get this trip started!!!

Weather update:
Still a ways out but it looks like that large storm system over the west may remain fairly stationary through the Memorial Day Weekend. That doesn't mean we'll be high and dry though. I think what we'll have to watch out for is the boundary where a developing moist southeast wind hits the drier southwest wind. Potentially over eastern Wyoming and far Western South Dakota as early as Friday and then continuing over the weekend. Just too early to tell if this will set up over our area producing the risk of strong thunderstorms. I'm working Sunday through Wednesday next week and I'll keep an eye on it.

Translation...
Bring a rain jacket :D

Maybe. It looks dry in Wilson's neck of the woods in this pattern but where that boundary sets up will be critical. Just a little further west and we could have 3 days of sunny, dry and warm weather vs watching the cumulus build each day. That's assuming the big low is over the Pacific NW as expected. Still 9-12 days out. Stand by...

We are getting excited, really looking forward to it. Running out of time though, have done some packing for camping equipment and truck stuff/tools.

I had a new weatherguard tool box that I had bought for my old truck and never installed. Thought I was going to be able to modify it to fit since I was going from a 6.5' bed to a 5.5', but realized last week that I couldn't cut where I thought because of the lid shocks and bracing. So I sold it last night and trying to decide if I want to run get a 48" one for the Raptor, or just put everything in the back floor board. Just don't know a good way to secure anything in the floor and hate the thought of jacks, bags of tools, etc being able to fly around in the truck.

it's wet out this morning ): we need the moisture but why can't it wait 3 day's. There's enough pressure farming lol I never get stressed but then I never have anything to do. I can not leave if that field is not in or too wet to plant for the 4 days I'd be gone.

For snoball500, I installed D-rings at the bed bolts. It gave me 6 extra places to hook straps to. They are a dodge part, and right now I don't know were the post is that gave more info about them. Beemerman made the post.

The part number is 5104500-AA got them from Chrysler off a sprinter van. You must trim the bolt shank to remove the washer. Then grind the bolt head to clear the d ring where the bolt will contact d ring

Cant help you on the nuvi. If it uses the same .gpx that the other garmins use, you should be ok.

I uploaded them to my handheld garming and they load fine.

I'm winging it don't think I'll even bring the garman along I can't stand listening to it. besides we will be in the boonies no one except us and maybe a few other off roaders. Not like I'll case a big traffic jam. And I got an A+ at follow the leader in grade school. OK I'll probably bring it along just to find my way out if I'd happen to get lost and the truck nav quit's for some reason.

P.S. I'm still bringing bean's. RW I know you mentioned something about beans when were you thinking of eating them during the BQ? If so that's fine I think we will eat mine Friday when we get there so I don't have to store them. So if I'm right I'll have to look at the schedule again I suck at schedules I plan on doing the potluck thing Friday hot dog's beans. The idea of a potluck is you bring enough food for your self and a bit more everyone takes a little bit of everything? (Like use tablespoons for your serving spoon) This way not everyone has to participate if you don't want to. But there will be a big crock pot full of beans at my tent or wherever this potluck takes place.

I have a question has anyone used there plugin in there truck before and will it support a crockpot? If we get out of here earlier I'll just wait until we get to camp.

IF it doesn't turn out we can burn the food and eat at the restaurant.

I forgot to ask so where is the closest gas station to the camp? So we can fill up the night before and be ready to go Saturday. Or when I get close I'll just start filling up at every station ha

I had the factory sprayed in liner done and they sprayed over the bed bolts. So I don't want to cut the liner to remove them.
