Thanks Joe, I've looked around some and can't seem to find any warnings for the Deadwood area. I just know when you get into Yellowstone area and out that direction that you aren't supposed to have anything that smells like food (cooking equipment, clothing worn while cooking, toothpaste, etc) in your camper/tent or vehicle. Because they will find a way in.

But usually camp grounds mention needing a bear safe if they have issues around there.

I know we had a camp ground mention their raccoon problem to us, we thought sure whatever. I bet we had 20 raccoons invade our campsite the first night, managed to unlatch the cooler and steal a package of tortillas before we moved it inside the tent. The next night we had about 500 boy scouts show up so we never saw another ****, but heard plenty of stories for a few days.

I'm local and I haven't ever heard of needing to bear proof anything

Perfect, makes life easier. I prefer camping and not having to worry about packing everything away, can relax and enjoy things more that way.

Lol, good because my cooler isn't even raccoon proof. One of these days I will find a reason for a Yeti. My uncle has 5-6 of them that people have given him. Must be nice to work in the oil field and have some rank.

With the coming snow hope its just rain, but it is pushing me back. If we get done I think we could be there by about 3pm or 1500 but is the grill going to be there? If so and I make it could have the roast done by 6:30 1850 7:00pm 1900. Lots of ifs but I'm willing ill know more in 3 weeks. So one yes? My 4 year old is talking a mile a min I can't even think lol.
