I was going to tape off the holes in the brackets to see if that makes a difference. It might be like blowing across the top of a beer bottle. Anything is worth a try!

Haven't tried it yet. You're comment about the "no volume" makes sense. The openings could still be part of the turbulence issue.

I lost my winch hook during my last run. Now there is only the loop at the end of my synthetic rope. My license plate bracket holds the rope out of the way usually, but sometimes the loop hangs down. When the loop is exposed to the wind, the whistle it makes is crazy!! I actually thought something in my engine bay was going to blow a gasket.

I've wanted one since I first saw them, but I can't use one. I have a hawse fairlead and I have to display a front license plate. My license plate bracket plugs into the hawse fairlead. There isn't enough room for the Prolink.
