24 R - 250 miles - DEAD!

So I go out to open the truck Friday and receive a message from my Ford app that the truck remote is being disconnected and the truck is going into battery saver and that driving the truck for a while should resolve the problem and recharge the battery. I am able to start it, take it out and drive it around for a while and park it last night. After some investigation looking at my dealer paperwork from the original warranty repair, apparently they did NOT replace my battery, but fully recharged it and somehow verified it to 100% recharged with no drain. Ok, this can’t be good. Went out this morning to drive the truck and get another message from the app saying the same thing as Friday. This is the 2nd time Hawk Ford here in St Charles IL has short cut the warranty work on a Raptor I’ve owned and not replaced parts that needed replacing. Last time on my 2022, I ended up going to another dealer to get a part replaced that Hawk wouldn’t do because they said an animal chewed the wires on a mode control. Now I have to go back again Monday except again, I’ll drive 30 miles out of my way to go to the other dealer to attempt to get it properly repaired. (Actually replace the damn battery) !

Your current issue is frustrating to be sure, but the rodents chewing wires IS a thing and it’s not a warranty repair. It’s happened to me on one of my _garaged_ bikes, and it was the one place I did not look before calling in for help. At least it wasn’t pricey - but man I kicked myself for not catching that.

I bought a 2024 a couple of months ago. The dealer was having issues starting the Raptors on their lot because they had been sitting for a while. I had them put in a brand new battery in mine before I picked it up. No problems so far.

I would just go buy a new battery and be done with it. I already replaced the battery in my '22, the door lock touch function worked intermittently, all good now. My wife's '22 is a few months newer than mine and doing the same thing, though she hasn't said anything about it.

Agreed. Time is money. The amount of time and frustration you'll invest to get the dealer to swap batteries won't be worth it.
