what year is the Vette...66 or 67?? What is under the hood??? That trip you are making would be awesome... you should stop in every state along the way and get a mod. I am sure that we have vendors along the way.

I thought the largest ball of twine was only in National Lampoon "Vacation" that's great, these things are what make our country interesting, enjoy your trip home.

That's funny!! There is a lot of random stuff like that in the US!! She has a real knack for finding it too!! We go past the worlds largest Beaver, so we'll be sure to get a photo of it too!!

The Vette is a '66 with the L72 big block 427 in it...The car is pretty amazing to drive...Definitely a step way back into the past!!

I'm sure most of the mods along the way will consist of a few scrapes, dings and chips! :-0

I'm surprised how much attention this truck is getting!! I think every place we've stopped, if someone has been remotely close to us, they've made a comment about how nice the truck looks, and usually they ask what it is exactly...been pretty interesting so far!!

Thanks for the compliments...We've been really lucky to get a few really cool cars over the years...here's a photo of my girlfriends Land Rover Defender and one of our newer Corvette (a 2009 Z06).
The girlfriend is sitting in the Z06, so you can see a bit of her there

Getting ready to hit the road after breakfast. I have to really slow myself down on trips like this and try to enjoy it - I have a tendency to get goal orientented, and just plow through the trip to get to the destination! My girlfriend is really good for making me take time and enjoy the ride! We'll probably take back roads mostly today and head up to Billings, MT so hopefully there be some pretty scenery!!

Great '66!

My Dad has a small corvette collection. The 66 is definitely my favorite to drive also.

We have a 06....with 7K miles :( I am embarrassed to say. The one trip its been on was amazing though. Texas to West Virginia. 3200 miles round trip. A road trip to Alaska would be incredible. Very jealous, travel safe.

Awesome...quite the road trip. If work every sends me up to Alaska (which it very well may in the next few years), I definitely would want to make the trip up to Anchorage in my Raptor!
