Now I want to go on a road trip to the mountains. But, I've already put 18.2K miles on my truck since I picked it up 9 months ago.

Now, that's a BEAVER! I like to see the DAM that baby built! Where is that located at?

It's at a little town, just before you start the Alaska highway - "Beaver Lodge" :happy160:

The drive in the mountains has been great, but we took a big ass rock to the windshield today and put a silver dollar size break in it!! Sucks!! Nothing like a 5000 mile road trip to knock the new off a truck!! :puke:

I've gotten some sort of damage everytime I've driven the highway...

There are quite a few trips like this on Advrider - thats a great forum for The adventure motorcycle crowd!! I used to have a BMW GS Adventure and rode the Alcan a few years ago with it - another great trip!!

Curious... Have you watched what kind of mileage you've been getting?

Would be an interesting data point.

I've been using the A tripmeter for fuel-ups and the B tripmeter for the entire trip so far...I'll take a photo of the B for the last post to show the totals!

I think we've run about 3600 miles so far and have averaged 14.2 and we've been running 70-80 a lot of the time. We've also been bucking a headwind a lot, which has kept a few tank averages pretty low. Yesterday, we ran about 450 miles on a tank and averaged over 17 mpg for that one, but we were in traffic on backroads and running a lot around 60-65, but it was still pretty crazy mileage!

I think todays tank averaged about 15mpg - running mostly around 70...

Thanks!

I've always had performance vehicles, but bad MPG's for me meant 16 ~ 19mpg. I've seen people say anywhere from 11 ~ 16 with these trucks.

I wanted the SCREW from the outset and love the fact that it has a 36 gallon tank.

I would be happy getting the kind of mileage you're getting with my 36 gallon tank.

Great thread. Thanks for sharing.

All of our cars get really bad mileage too (the '66 Corvette gets 10mpg no matter how you drive it), so the Raptor for us is just about par...It just really sucks when driving it so far in a weeks time though - and Canada gas is REALLY $$$:wtf2:

Thanks for all the comments and following the trip!!
