GEN 2 Remote Start has never worked

I got it working!

I had to check the System Box under the remote start menu on the cluster. it's just odd they didn't mention that setting specifically in the remote start section of the owner's manual.

Not a very intuitive name.

Glad I was able to point you in the right direction... it sucks when this stuff doesn’t work because the sales people failed you, that’s why this group is here, to help one another.

I had planned to pull the manual out and figure out why my remote start didn't work, but now I can mark that one off my list of things to do.

Am I missing something, or isn't that exactly what the OP said he tried in order to get the remote start to work?

The fact that Ford Pass won't work makes it seem to me like it's definitely not operator error with the key fob...

Nope, I missed the part about locking. Read it too fast I guess. Perhaps, the fact that I missed this myself a few times at first too perhaps.

I push my lock button twice on my fob before pushing remote start button twice. Mine works fine. Would check the setting on dash and double push button. If no go, see dealer.

Yes thank you! I had ironically just called the dealer first and they confirmed that setting did not exist, lol. They wanted me to setup a service appointment. Glad we found it, I figured it was something simple.

Cool, you guys just helped me with the same issue. App worked great for remote start, but didn’t realize the lock button first on the fob. Maybe I missed it in the manual. Happy camper now!
