Have you driven thru any new asphalt lately? We have road heavy road repairs up here and when I avoid those areas I never get those little spots. But as soon as I drive anywhere near where its happening those spots appear. Can't say it's exactly that but that's just my experiences with conclusions. Clay bar has been my only way of removal so far...

I have had lots of suggestions and recommendations. I will try a few of the lesser aggressive ones and report back. I know I can remove them, but a clay bar every weekend isn't the solution. I am on the road a lot and park in multiple places throughout the day, but only a couple different spots at home.

My guess is that it is Artillery Fungus and that it is coming from my neighbors new mulch that is about 20 feet from my driveway. I will park in the street for a few weeks after I clean it to see what happens. The other vehicles in the drive are darker in color and these spores only attack very light colored objects.

Where I park is right next to mulch, it's all over my truck and my neighbors silver colored F150. I'm thinking its from the mulch, there's mulch everywhere!!!

Will try a good wax today and see if that makes it easier to get this stuff off.

I agree, it must be the mulch. I just looked closer at my wife's gold Tundra and it is also covered in it, just harder to see.

I am using Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Car Wax , I don't think I can get much better than that. Today I am going to see if I can use some detergent (dawn) to take off the wax where the spores are embedded and then re wax it. I will do a small section to test.

Yes it is Artillery Fungus...We have it pretty bad here in VA...the link to the article is from a place here in Richmond...

Once you get them off...try a polish or a sealant DuraGloss, Turtle Wax Ice...anything to help seal the paint...

Ok. This morning I have tried the following products to clean the spores from my truck.
Bug & Tar remover
Cheer
Adams Shampoo
Dawn
Clorox Wipes
The winer hands down was the Clorox Wipes
I figure I will wet the truck, wipe it with Clorox, wash it with Adams, then a nice coat or two of wax
