Wow, sorry this post ruffled so many feathers. Just putting info out there. Maybe next year will be different but as far as talking to ford you would have to know someone at a high level to get any accurate info on any dealers order allocation and maybe you do, Idk but at any rate for now they are arriving in a timely manner

Well, at least my suspicions were correct...spammer

BIRDMAN I'm relatively new here but I can see the big Administrator tag under your name. Maybe you are an expert to the extent you can "see" when someone is a spammer or scammer, but you are wrong with fordfan. Dead wrong. ken maybe many things, but a spammer he's not.

I first met fordfan a few years ago in 2007 or 08 as random as it gets.
I've been a Carroll Shelby fan forever and owning a COBRA I wanted to get a Shelby GT500 but I refused to pay thousands over sticker. So I gave up buying one, I was actually looking for vintage mag adds of Shelby's COBRAS from the hotel while the ball and chain and kids were sleeping. I had bought emblems, and other knickknacks (license plate frames etc) when I found Zook's item for a REAL shelby. I set the alarm clock (listing ended in 3 hours). I jumped on it blowing past previous bidders. Afterwards (3am London time) boy did I get buyer's remorse! - I had bought it without checking further. When I found the name of the dealership was Zook and out in Kane, PA, I thought I had been had. Talk about a panic attack I almost had stroke. But Long story short and lots of anxiety later. It turned out it was for real and I ended up picking it up and driving it home a few weeks later (8 weeks? or so later). Yeap I ended up buying a Shelby GT500 from eBay of all places.
A year later I contacted him for a second one for my wife but Life got in the way. God threw us a curve and we had to change our plans. fordfan was understanding and even send inquiries about us later.

Fast forward to 2012.
I gave my daughter my all weather commuter and offroader ( a Jeep Grand Cherokee) on July 6th, 2012 (day she passed her driving test) and started leisurely looking for a replacement for me. Driving the COBRA or SHELBY to work is not a bad thing (unless it snows). After researching Jeep, Toyota and GMC I couldn't make up my mind. Then I discovered the Raptor and it was lust at first sight. I spent hours on Youtube. Where the hell had I been all those years? And it was made by SVT!!! This maybe SVT's best creation ever. After I got sick of Raptor vids, I started lurking here in FRF and anywhere where they talked about Raptors.

Meanwhile I contacted a local dealer in MA and went to bed wishing I knew "someone" in Ford when I remembered Zook. I googled them. Found emails, contacted them and got a reply the next day. That was Oct 7, 2012. I wanted a leftover 2012 they didn't have any on the lot but started to do locates for me. Talk about flashback! it was just like in the crazy Shelby shortage years. His sister (is a family owned business - the old man is mostly retired, a consultant now) located some at other dealers but they wanted sticker or worse. Then I came here and saw boatloads of folks talking about how long they were waiting. SHT I had to move fast. A couple of days later I asked them what would it take to order me a 2013. That was Oct 10, 2012. They put the order through. In a few days I got an Oct 29, 2012 built date from them with a VIN number and everything. They started sending me weekly updates. I joked it was like tracking a 6,000 lbs package. The truck was built in Dearborn, MI. After they finished it, It took Ford a couple of extra weeks to get it delivered to the dealership (man, have you ever looked up Kane, PA? it's in the "boonies"!). It got to the dealership on Nov 20th. This Thanksgiving I had an extra 6,000 of gratitude in my list of things to be thankful for.

We are applying a few mods. 26 to be exact. From tiny knickknacks like security plates behind the door locks and weapon-friendly locked boxes under the seat to a blue Whipple blower and matching blue racing valve covers. I picked a lot of SDHQ stuff with RPG and other FRF friendly vendors.
I've started a build thread elsewhere in the Internet, posted some pics here in FRF (testing the waters for friendliness) and I'm about to start a full build thread.

So Birdman, you may think of Kane, PA as east-bumfork usa but to me it is the capital of FORD SVT world. And you may think of Zook motors as a spammer but to me both him and his sister are vehicle grand wizards. If I was them I wouldn't be posting here getting sht for it, I would be instead shouting it from the rooftops.

Why am I writing this and risking a flame war from you and others?

Birdman, "sorry" to do this to you, but honestly, I think instead of trying to contact Ford (assuming you can) and trying to get them in trouble, you should be praising them. Don't be bitter, man. Be wise. Order one from them.

I don't know how Ford works with its dealers, but I bet you most dealers sit on their fat asses once they get an order from another victim... er... customer. But These guys don't. They know their sh*t.

They work it just as hard as SDHQ, RPG and other quality shops here do.
SDHQ uses TIG instead of MIG welding and special steel. I don't know how they do it or why they do it differently than others, but instead of flaming them, I buy stuff from them.
You do business with SDHQ and RPG and you get to know their names, Jason, Brian, etc. Same stuff with Zook.
Ford is huge, but all these vendors are tiny. But that's what makes this US of A a great country. In spite of what Washington does to screw it up.

Zook is a small dealership - just like SDHQ is a small shop. So they rely on customer service. And return business.

Birdman, I've heard you are not easy to get along with but I have no reason to dislike you. And so far my time here at FRF I have found friendly helpful people.
I've done business with FORDFAN and his family.
Maybe that helps you see things differently or maybe not.

I come here to learn what else I can do to or with my new Raptor.
I have no interest on flaming wars.
But if that's the way it goes, OK girls, if you want, flame on. Bring it on.

Either way, I'm going to have a cheesy grin the whole time I drive the 600 miles between Kane, PA and my home.
I already signed up for SnoBall 500. I rather sweat it up out there than sit on my butt.
Life's too short for BS.

I've attached an excerpt of one of my weekly notices tracking the vehicle.
IM POSITIVE ANY DEALER can do this but most sit on their butts. I cut off the VIN number because is nobody's business except my own.
Gotta go back to my build narrative.
