Last week I had my shocks rebuilt. I drove it around for 100 miles and retorqued everything. No problems....I then drove my truck 250 miles to Indianapolis and began hearing a creaking noise from the rear. The noise appears from stop to acceleration and into 2nd gear. I also hear it when the truck comes to a complete stop. I have tried having someone push the truck while in park but it is difficult to nail down where its coming from. I have determined it is coming from the rear and almost think its the leaf springs but I am not sure. Has anyone else had any issues so I can start somewhere?

While changing the shocks out I did put the rear wheels back on and let it sit on the leaf springs. I didnt think that was a big deal but who knows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I saw something you posted earlier today when I was searching about the same thing (I think). I actually got a can of dry silicone and lubed up all of the inner-workings of the tailgate step and it absolutely 100% fixed it FOR ME.

Is it possible you had it there before and you are only noticing it now because you are listening for it? I would try that tailgate... mine was unbelievably loud. I thought for sure it was going to be the suspension - nope!

I tried the tailgate. Its somewhere under in the rear and feels like the rear is going to be left behind at acceleration from a dead stop. I'm going to try and grease the splines and tighten all the bolts in the rear and silicon spray the crap out of everything to see if that works.
