guys the key to down travel is the increased ability to keep the tires on the ground- put power to ground. Increase travel in general gives you better performance offroad regardless. the more the suspension droops the better it will be at soaking up the bumps as long as you have the right shocks and valving.

Any one that wants to got for a ride at havoc to feel it is more than welcome to come for a ride.

Dave we need a CV delete kit for these trucks i like most raptor owners have only used 4wd a few times over the years.

I hear ya. but as soon as you take it out you will need it LOL- thats how it always works for me.

A few thoughts:

What if we were able to drop the front diff down an inch with out affecting anything making the cv angles better??

What if you could get 15 inches of travel running stock cvs???

Interested? Is it worth it?? Im not sure yet either

That is a good thought? i would not want to cut the front crossmember to make it happen though.

heres a question dave, for ***** and giggles. Why did you choose to mount the shock forward of the axel? There is sufficent room aft of the axel.

I understand and did the calculations for the linkage geometries. just curious on your placement choice

to be clear

exactly, but you wouldnt want to run the front at that hieght all the time. Its hard on the cvs and other parts. Mid/top perch is perfect imo- just as the icons are set out of the box.

with the new setup you would run the height the same as stock mid perch up front and stock height in the back. i must say it looks like a obvious improvement ,what does your ass o meter tell you about the pavement ride

I tried working up some templates for rear placement but it just won't work. The frame tapers in starting at the front spring hanger which makes room for mounting the spring and shackle at the rear on the outside of the frame. With the movement of the rear of the spring and the frame so far away from where the lever would need to be mounted it wouldn't work. The lever has to be mounted low in comparison to the shock for it to work properly and the bracket would hang to far off the frame to get around the spring. Not enough room for a strong shock mount in the rear. either. The placement at the front was the only way to make it work and be strong enough

The ride is the best I have ever felt in a raptor. The shackle combined with springs are so plush and stable. So nice to drive compared to before. And it drove great IMO.
