So if I'm reading this right, for us lower life forms to run this setup, we would have to also get 3.0 shocks?

U could run stock shocks but you would not have the ability to fine tune them and they wouldnt perform nearly as well as 3.0. Not sure how they would do but they will fit.

update

straps with adjustable clevis mounts are done. Also finished making a complete custom exhaust that allows u still run the spare underneath if you want. Single exit 3 in all madrel bent 409 stainless tube. Once the bed is cut the tail pipe will be straight but for now its angle down. Stay tuned in for testing videos this week. Included a pick of the new shackle also

I don't think so because of the shock stroke, How ever i do remember Someone saying that you could get 15" of travel with a stock set up with poly bushings. Synergy and Camburg both make shackles for the raptor i just don't know the benefits of them.

this is where DAVE comes in.

Would there be any performance gain to those shackles in a stock shock position setup?

No gains in travel besides using the full capabilty of the stock setup. If you droop out the rear you will notice that the stock shackle limits the travel by 1/2 to 1 full inch. The stock rubber bushings cause this along with rubber spring bushings. This shackle will give you a slight ride change and lower ride height. You are limited to the travel of the shock which is 12in- most of the time is less
