I agree with what you're saying for the most part but I believe warrantee work is going to differ from one location to the next. I think some dealers will use anything to avoid paying for warrantee work.

Dealers love to do warranty work because they bill Ford for it.

When the blackbox becomes mandatory in all vehicles then who will be to blame...mhmm, let me see, checking the g's, speed, altitude, decent, date, time, weather conditions based on lat/lon, road conditions based on lat/lon, and the point of impact from the thousands of impact sensors placed on the vehicle the customer doesn't know about. I'm sorry sir, your warranty has ended. "What?" Yep, ended the same day you took your Raptor 125mph over a cattle guard and ****ed your **** up. We know how you like to drive and refuse to warranty such a driver on one of our vehicles. Have a nice, come again.

I read that entire thread on Z, on FRF, etc.

The guy doing all the chest pounding (Blue SVT/Blue STI) needs a reality check on self responsibility.

He ****ed up and overdrove his ability and the equipment. Rather than accept that fact, he'd rather blame the Raptor and Ford and the engineers.

Same thing as the people who crash their cars on track days and expect their insurance to fix/replace their car due to their screwup.

The sad thing is the guy is a moderator over there and he is moderating his own thread. It already split off into another thread because people were calling him out on his bull**** and censorship.

The guys over at FRF were/are smarter than the lemmings over at Z and the thread is continuing. One guy who is a mechanical engineer spelled it all out with facts on how any standard truck frame would have bent based on the punishment the Raptor took.

The problem with the internet is people are attracted to the drama. This guy will continue to perpetuate the weak frame crap because there are so many stupid people out there willing to listen. Of course the chevy and toyota crowd are all over it like stink on **** because they are just jealous and want ANYTHING to latch on to in order to justify not owning (affording?) a Raptor.

This is why I bought and have been busy with a classic Lincoln. (that has a frame and tows as much as Raptor LOL) Much less drama on those boards.

I think the issue with warranty stuff is the people doing the work don't know what they are dealing with. They have to know that Gord will cover it before they do it. With almost all other vehicles off-roaring voids waranty. Not so with the Raptor but some service guys don't know or don't care to take the time to find out. So when a guy comes in with a dirty scratched truck with a smashed skid plate it's easier to deny the claim and move on to the next job. That's just my opinion though...

Did you see ESAD explain why he sent a mass email out to promote the thread? I think Gord might want to get their lawyers on him. This could be entering the slander dept now. They are actively promoting that there is an inherent design flaw and censoring anything to the contrary.
