Well it looks like Ford is denying frame work and voiding chassis warrantees.

No surprise there (not to me anyway)!

I assume this is posted on the other forum, correct?

Oh boy... This update is a doozie. Got a response from the Ford rep, who said they were going to see if this could be re-evaluated by the engineer.

Here is the response:

Mr. Richards,

I’ve forwarded the last e-mail you sent me to both the Field Service Engineer, as well as his superior, which is our Technical Operations Manager.* Their stance on denying repairs under warranty has not changed and at this point, since you haven’t provided an estimate to prove that you had repairs performed to the frame on your vehicle at an I-Care Certified body shop, the chassis warranty has been cancelled.I apologize that this has not resulted in a satisfactory resolution for you and at this point, you are free to pursue whichever avenues you see fit to resolve your concern.

Regards,
Xxxxx xxxxxx

When my truck was in for the claim, BEFORE my claim was even denied, I told her that I would be going on vacation for 2 weeks, starting July 7th, and that I needed to have my truck back before then... My claim was denied on the 5th, at which point I was told to have it fixed "soon" with no actual timeline or deadline. I was also under the impression this was still being discussed, possibly re-evaluated as her Email that I posted suggests!!!!! Now this?!?

I love this truck, but their service and how this is being approached is f***ing unbelievable. I've had 10 new vehicles in the last 10 years... and this service is just unacceptable. It's one thing to say no... Another to deny a claim without allowing my ANY discussion with the engineer, any appeal to the decision, and to cancel my existing chassis warranty with no warning other than "soon"??? Unbelievable.

At this point, I don't even expect ford to repair it...I was just hoping to actually speak to somebody about the issue at hand, instead of a sheep who says "I understand" over and over, but is completely cluelessSo, there you go, I have no chassis warranty now... Not that it's worth two ****s to begin with.

- Matt

Some comments on Matt (DNF) Richard's posting (in blue above):

* Sounds like he had the truck fixed on his own by a shop that is not certified by Ford
* He's had 10 vehicles in 10 years "and this service is just unacceptable" - really?! Because he had frames fixed under warranty on the other vehicles he abused?! Because he thinks the manufacturer should fix everything no matter how it "broke"?
* His naiveté is glaring when he says Ford denied his claim without "any discussion with the engineer" - I guess he expects to talk to the engineers whenever he has a problem with a vehicle?!

So they cancelled his chassis warranty. They should have gone to his house and taken away his Raptor for abusing it

Wait til he blows a shock or two on his next abusive offroad trip. He'll wish he had that chassis warranty then!

That is what I gather as well, which I would also consider reasonable justification for canceling the chassis warranty. To have Ford do it for the reported reasonable price of $800 would definitely be the way to go.

IC now. Yeah, you reap what you sow. $800 would have been fine by me, plus the work would have been warrantied for a period of time.

I'm assuming that this Matt is BlueSVT? Damn I hope so, it would serve him right.

You know I was out running my truck on the beach the other weekend in 4-Hi, it started making a clunking noise, the rear end that is...you know nevermind. Point being this whole frame bending **** is so ****ing stupid. When you buy a vehicle read your owners manual and all supplemental manuals before operating your vehicle. Don't be an idiot about it.

If these people are so pissed about it they should fix their frames on their own dime, sell their Raptors, flame it all they want to and buy a Tata.

those guys are insane! i have been offroading in this truck i dont know how many times, both in fast and slow rough conditions..they obviously did not scout the terrain prior to doing any runs..i usually have friends with either quads or trucks go out ahead and gauge any obsticals. I paid too much for this truck to deliberately break it. if i havent bent a frame yet, im actually concerned as to how fast they were going, thats insane!

there are some things that have happened with my truck that i would agree shouldnt have, especially just doing hwy driving, but it never left me stranded...i have to take that into consideration for sure.
