If you were going to drop 10k on a brand new bone stock truck right off the bat what would you spend it on?

Would you get power bits and wheels and bumpers, would you go rpg stg 4+ and uca and such? where would you allocate 10k

From what I've learned since being here, I'd probably either go ICON 3.0, maybe springs to go with that, UCA, tie-rods and call it good. That's easily under 10K. Complete ICON 3.0 package is a little over 6K.

Or RPG Stage 4+ @ around $6800

And the normal protection items:
protect the ABS/Vacuum lines (SDHQ $60)
protect the shocks and undercarriage (ICON mid flaps and Alpha 1 shock guard $350)
frame reinforcement (SDHQ) - $100

Great start and well under 10K

What about others reading this???

The RPG+ has the 3.0's, the frame reinforcements, bumpstops, and springs, then you add the tie rods and UCA and that all comes out to around $8450. Still leaves you with some change to play with, what else would you do to max out that 10k?

Still have to add the ICON mid flaps and shock protectors for $350 more and the $60 ABS/Vacuum line protectors. After that, my money would be finished off with off-road necessities. Tire and fuel can bed mount (2 tires and 10g gas). Air compressor, hi-lift jack, floor jack with base, fire extinguisher and tow rope. Probably a little over 10K now depending on your bed mounting system. If your $8400 figure includes the ICON mid-flaps, shock protectors and ABS/Vacuum line protectors, then you can probably do it all for around 10K.

I was thinking about a bedrug and a rolltop cover, and at some point wheels, although i still haven't found wheels I really want. I'm definitely seriously considering the RPG 4+ right off the bat.

And then depending on how you feel about your truck and scratches, you'd want to protect it in some way. I'm getting some 3M protection for the frontal area and lower part of the truck. May do more down the road.
Also using AMSOIL for the undercarriage and engine compartment.

If I had $10,000, it's a tough call... but I would probably go:

RPG stage 2 (already have WSI springs) $1500
6 Method NV wheels (I have 2 spares) $1200
ICON Stage 2 suspension system $6750

Total: $9450 +$550 in gas.

I'm not worried about the 'regular' off-roading with the Raptor. I'm talking about the high speed desert stuff. We have 100s (probably more like 1000s) of miles of trails in the middle of nowhere. Similar to the desert southwest. I'm going to explore them all! I want to do all I can to bullet-proof my Raptor. It's a long way back to civilization from some of these areas.

Protection, now your talking. I was going to start a new thread on this. There isn't much on here (or at least in one spot) about protecting the raptor. Yeah, there is a lot about bumpers and wraps, but not much on skids, or other guards.

I'm hoping to get the ABS protectors before TRR and some hefty fab skids. What else should I be looking at? Shock protection??

Why the ICON's over the fox 3.0 that rpg valves? I don't know much about the differences in suspension setups for the raptor, know the basics but what sells you on the ICONs over the rpg?
