This seems like a good jump of point as i'm lost as to a direction for suspension upgrades.

I have to add something here. I finally got around to buying the 5 Star tunes for my SCT programmer... Sweet mother of god... This is the absolute best money you can spend on your truck. Bar none.

Imagine, if you will, taking a rhinoceros and shoving a patriot missile where the sun don't shine. On the way home tonight I got a 2nd gear scratch. Considering this is an automatic trans with WSI HD leaf springs and about 300lbs in the bed... I'm amazed.

EDIT: 91 Performance

Here's another cheap and effective mod: Cat 2?

SDHQ Ford Raptor Rear Frame Reinforcement Kit ($100 plus shipping)

What other mods do you think are needed if you want to push your Raptor from day 1?
Not necessarily talking RPG Stage 4+ or ICON shocks but other smaller, cheaper but yet still important off-road mods.

I think that I might be a Category ~&$%. The first time I had my Raptor off road it was completely stock and I had it on top of Cinnamon Pass at 12,600 feet in the Colorado Rockies. The Raptor will do anything sane bone stock. It might well do those same things a little better with some well thought out modifications, but right off the factory line it is even more capable than most owners want to admit. So, of course, they modify it! :)

I've made some modifications too. Despite this, the truck continues to run just fine. Which, of course, is excellent testimony to the quality of the as-delivered product.

I'm not worried about the 'regular' off-roading with the Raptor. I'm talking about the high speed desert stuff. We have 100s (probably more like 1000s) of miles of trails in the middle of nowhere. Similar to the desert southwest. I'm going to explore them all! I want to do all I can to bullet-proof my Raptor. It's a long way back to civilization from some of these areas.
