I use my wife. I have trained her to turn it off the minute she sits in my truck.

same....but with my kid...it is her job to turn it off when in the passenger seat, and she has to do all the WAZE call outs

I pulled the plug 2 years ago. My auto stop/start is deactivated. Takes 2 seconds and no ill effects. I can easily plug back in just as fast if I need to tow.

Why does it need to be plugged back in for tow. Isn't the auto start/stop supposed to stay off when towing?

Sure this is out there already, but if you have a windows computer and an OBD2/Usb cable such as this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081VQVD3F/?tag=fordraptorforum-20, you can install forscan (https://forscan.org) freely and just change one hex code byte in the body control module from 1 to 0 and no more auto/start stop cleanly (no codes). And forscan does 100x that (clearing codes, reprogram other features ...yada, yada). Forscan is a pretty cool app for anyone who owns a Gen2 raptor

And here is the link to a google doc code sheet for some of these ops if anyone is interested:

He’s talking about the start/stop annoyance issue. Only problem with doing it that way is each time you want to tow something you have to keep plugging and unplugging. If you pull the switch on the dash and short the switch with a piece of wire you get rid of the annoyance and your tow isn’t affected.
Isn’t this dangerous? Can you post a picture on where to connect the wire? I really want to get rid if the annoying stop/start...
