I had to search youtube.

hit climate, upper right is a little steering wheel icon. Hit it.

Strange.

I think I may have incorrectly FORSCAN'd it as that icon is nowhere to be found. Have to try again

I also FORScanned my heat down. Now I don't have to turn it off and on and off and on....

714-02-01: 0244 4444 xx - Wheel Temperature = 68ºF
714-02-01: 024C 4C4C xx - Wheel Temperature = 76ºF
714-02-01: 0254 5454 xx - Wheel Temperature = 84ºF
714-02-01: 0258 5858 xx - Wheel Temperature = 88ºF
714-02-01: 025A 5A5A xx - Wheel Temperature = 90ºF
714-02-01: 025C 5C5C xx - Wheel Temperature = 92ºF
714-02-01: 025E 5A5E xx - Wheel Temperature = 94ºF
714-02-01: 0264 6464 xx - Wheel Temperature = 100ºF
* Higher temperatures may negatively affect the lifespan of your steering wheels heating element.

also could be noted...that even if you don't do the FORScan update...when HSW is on, the steering wheel icon shows to the right of the Home icon between the inside temp setting and the Clock in the top info line of your display. If you tap it, it will bring up the Climate screen where you can turn it off.

This is what I did. Wrong Forscan code put only heated and vent seats on home screen, which removed heated steering wheel control all together. I just put it back to stock,,, I don't see the value in having it displayed on the home screen anyway.

It's less than a foot from the steering wheel and it's where all the climate control is. I personally don't want another damn button on my wheel.

With the latest Sync update it shows up on the home screen instead of having to go to the climate screen to turn it on and off. On my 18 it was only in the climate screen menu until I updated Sync in order to get Waze to work.

I must have just gotten this update via WiFi bc all of a sudden the icon showed up. Does anyone know of any way to disable it on the home screen? I liked it better hidden, not cutting my phone tab in half.

on 18's its now a factory item but on the 17's is an option..You guys can also add the icon to the main screen like many of us did with the forscan change.

I thought it was only a standard option with the 802A package for the 18's...
