I was installing a Foutz motorsports rear diff skid plate. It used 6 bolts on the bottom of the diff, I went to remove them and they were finger tight. I used a lube locker gasket and torqued all the bolts to 33 ft. Lbs when I installed it. No leaks which is shocking. The tightening of the bolts to 33 feels like they could snap at any moment but anyway just a heads up. 13 mm socket

Similar experience on my end. Noticed I had some leaks last year after an event, and they were also finger tight. I tightened them to 20 ft*lbs and at that torque they lightly back off some and need re-tightened but not to the point of leaking. Probably going to 25 ft*lbs next time.

I put tread lock on the bolts and got between 25-30 ft lbs it’s amazing as you get older you just know your close to shearing a bolt off.

I don't think you need more than 20lbs of torque, and even that may be overdoing it. You just need some blue or even read thread locker, and clean your bolts and bolt holes!
