Honestly I wouldn't get the afe cai that retains the plenum before the throttle body. Fitment was shit & one of the reasons why I got rid of it.

I thought you had a stage1? Which if that's the case you didn't have a tube rite? Just the stock tube to a open air filter? Stage 2 Blue pic. Stage1 black pic.

I had the stage 1, correct. The tube is a metal tube, but doesn't have a bend to eliminate the stock plenum. It is a straight tube, with 2 couplings which fits rather autozonish IMO. Caused my truck to run like poop. I'd go with the stage 2 & eliminate the stock plenum, looks to fit much better. Both utilize the same cai housing & cai, just different tubing. You can't buy just the tube to upgrade either, you have to buy the whole kit unfortunately. Afe is gay for not just selling inlet tubes to upgrade the kit.

I am going procharger, but unfortunately my funds are tied up ATM, so Idk when I'm going to be able to comfortably drop $8k on the setup. It didn't pop out, but it was bulging through the couplings, which would mean there'd be some turbulent air flow. It just seemed that the couplings for the kit weren't meant for it. Maybe it was only my misfortune, but it was quality materials other than the fitment issue. It could have been fixed with different couplings probably, but I said **** It & got rid of it. I tried turning the couplings & tube every which way & it just seemed like it never fit right. Spend the little extra dough on the Stage 2.

Interesting feedback. I believe I underestimated the volant. I wish I would have made it a poll choice. I was on the bottom of my list but I think its on the top now. The more I think about it, it makes since to have a closed box.
