More is better, right? GIMME MORE!!!

Yes Dave, more is better; as in two more pistons and cylinders!

the ecoboost engine was way more rewarding to get into the throttle, It was about 100X more responsive with the exception of the 1/4 of a second turbo lag from idle to WOT. The 6.2 feels like a dog

With that statement you disqualified everything else in your post

Don't forget mounts, oil volume, coolant volume, larger radiator etc. timing chain length, extra header exhaust pipe. Longer heads. There's a lot more material than you think
you're still a 100-150lbs off!

How do you know this?

2016 was confirmed , this article is talking about 2017 superduty.

HorsepowerKings is a very well known clickbait site. They post things just to get clicks for advertising money. I haven't seen one credible source yet that has said there may be a 5.0L Ecoboost.

Also, if they were making a 5.0L Ecoboost, you'd think they be announcing the hell out of because of how much press they'd be getting. They would also want to place it in the new Ford GT which probably won't happen. That car has been designed for the V6TT with weight distribution and everything I'm sure.

I'd be ecstatic if they did, but I'm giving it a less than 1% chance it happens.

Less than 1% no way its anywhere near that... its more like 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

Extra material to accommodate to cylinders, extra length of cam an crank shafts, tow pistons and connecting rods, springs valves fasteners...
This will not add up to 200-250lbs minimum.
I think there is a heavily biased thumb on that scale!

If it's reasonable to assume that the 3.5 EcoBoost in the 2nd Gen Raptor will use similar hardware as the 2014 F-150, and I think it's a decent approximation, the weight difference is 159 lbs for SuperCrew and 213 lbs for SuperCab.
