ok, so here is what i found out. camping, is primitive camping only. there is no running water (use the ocean) and you need to bring everything in and take everything out. its $10 a night that you can pay when you arrive. you are free to make a reservation, however they charge an additional $8 for this. they are limited to 1,000 camping vehicles, of which about 50 reservations have been made, so there is no reason to pay the extra fee to reserve a spot.
and dont forget ALL vehicles ohv or not (trucks included) are required to have a flag to enter the dunes, as posted earlier. you do not need a flag if you are driving on the beach to enter, leave, or get to your campground site.
